North American Wildlife: North American Bears: Pictures of black bears
Some of these black bears were photographed at the Vince Shutte Wildlife Sanctuary. They are wild bears that have been habituated to people. It was quite a thrill walking amongst them. Much to my dismay a big male wanted to play with me because I had a big shiny tripod. I quickly learned the importance of a camoflage coloured tripod! The bears in the daisies are wildlife models. The other black bears were photographed in Waterton National Park.
